AOB:
CHAIRMANS PROPOSAL, Being mindful of the parting words of our rector, Dont burn yourselves out, the chairman proposed a reduction in the number of fundraisers this coming year, since almost all committee members are in full time employment and we have still received very little help with organisation from volunteers. This will not exhaust everyones energy nor the goodwill of our supporters. This will also give the PCC opportunities to organise their own fundraisers for general church funds. Diane to liaise to avoid double booking of dates. This proposal was seconded by Dave Perrin.
In response to comments that the PCC felt they were being replaced by the FOCC for all fundraising, Janice Patient commented that the FOCC were formed from responses to the Parish Plan.Tricia pointed out that the idea of a FOCC had been suggested by her several years before.
A safari supper is being organised by the PCC for August. More details nearer the date.
HUNSTANTON COACH TRIP June 13th. Bernie reported that 34 tickets had been sold so far, with tickets being offered outside the village, as response had not been as forthcoming as expected by the villagers of Cottesmore itself. Tickets still available from Dave Perrin.WYSIWYG CONCERT June 20th in church 7:30-10:00p.m.. Tickets #5 to include supper provided by Barbara Perrin. Tickets on sale from committee members, from June 1st. Posters to be made by Liz and erected by Liz and Diane. Brian to organise bar and John and Dougal to run. Tables from village hall
OPEN GARDENS 12th July, will be bi-annual event so as not to coincide with Greetham. Only 6 gardens so far. More people to ask but more people needed to volunteer. Cakes also required.
MALE VOICE CHOIR - Bestwood male voice choir suggested by Janice; she will investigate.
COUNTRY AND WESTERN SINGERS - Dave has 2 dates, either Nov 25th or 26th available to us. He is to proceed.
CINEMA PROGRAMME Dougal suggested that we might join forces with Tony Collison to form the Cottesmore Film Club, showing films in the village hall on a regular basis.
GARAGE SALE Fiona suggested a garage sale in the village, similar to Greethams, with a cost of #5 to have one and charge visitors #1 for a map.
All of these are to be further discussed at the next committee meeting.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING:
